LoD is great when you know everyone in your PvE party is going to be pressured at the same time (ie. against Abaddon, and... Abaddon). But why use LoD when you can have HB and heal party to do the same thing, only in a way that's disguised so PUGs think you're awsome?

Ummm I done some testing as a monk since I'm tired of healing my henchies/heros... I have a hero bring that UA and I use mimicry with lod and in that case I don't have to worry who to heal... I just heal the party. My setup would be: LoD while mainitaing UA on myself too (including Hero), Dwaynas, Patient Spirit, HP and since mez you can add some energy managements maybe even interrupt regen enegry.

That way you don't have to click it away but just spam party heals... maybe even add that deldrimor breath heal if your energy permits

LoD is decent in its role. The thing is party heals isn't that much of a role (at least for PvE) compared to party protection...

Add to that [[there's nothing to fear], [[protective was kaolai], [[life] and whatnot, and you can see why Lod sits on the bench for so long.

Seen it used over the weekend in HA but when it comes down to it the healing power+conditional of WoH is far superior.

The update that made LoD suck was the same update that made WoH awesome IIRC <3

Yeah, I remember that one.

LoD does have its uses, but nowadays it's easily replaced. HB + Heal Party, Protective was Kaolai etc.

People used to spam Ward Against Melee + Light of Deliverance + other stuff and camp in wards...so they nerfed it before the PvE/PvP split.

Now its kinda sucky...

No.It doesn't suck and it is good used when you are playing bad pug someone said abaddon wheile gayte madness can be good place as well as going all through those shines.It is good made up with a good hybrid as compared to HB/HP.The pve version is better.

To be honest i find it not as bad people view it to be, it is usable every 6 sec in (pve) party wide, pug teams that are so used to scattering will benefit from its ability to heal "scattered" out of range members. It allows for hydrid builds.
(+67hp at 14 heal, +70 at 15 heal, +73 at 16 heal). Modest compared to the other party wide heal spells.

To be quite honest, I do not really fancy HB that much, I find it too conditional (for general play without a coordinated team). You need to have HB up and GLOE before spamming HP. I find it a little restrictive if you ask me. GLOE affects the next 2 spells, so to make " full use" of the it means to cast HP twice. GLOE takes 30 seconds to recharge.
( Please do not use "bipper" to justify energy management ).

All the HB builds i am pinged with (from the in game community since 2009 jan) do not have protective spirit, no condition removal and hex removal. I personally feel that not using protective spirit is just bad. Having word of comfort and dwyanas kiss is no reason to drop a condition removal and hex removal. When i asked why do you not have a PS spell in your bar, I was answered with " because it will get stripped". Hmmm is HB "immune to getting stripped".

I personally run all 3 elite skills ( HB with ps, WOH, LOD).
And if ask to play with a group of unknown random players I will run WOH. If asked to play with a "coordinated grp" I will use HB. When casual playing H/H way I sometimes use WOH.

Probably because the HB bar they're using stems from the Ursan period, where people generally ignored prot due to the +20 armour from UB at Norn r10. It is very restrictive, and the moment I could I dropped it for WoH. Of course, in the current situation, especially if you're doing HM, it is ridiculous not to bring Prot Spirit on either of your monks. But many people don't realise that.

i like [light of deliverance] equally as much as [healer's boon] + [heal party] + [Glyph of lesser energy]

LOD = 1 skill and its pretty spammable with a 6 seconds recharge and its cheap.

HB + HP + GoLE = 3 skills , NOT SPAMMABLE because of GoLE's recharge and HP's high energy cost.

lets see then.

heres a situation .. in 30 seconds, you cast LoD 5 times which is 66 ( at lv 14 healing prayers ) x 5 = 330 per person in a normal party of 8 so .. 330 x 8 = 2640 hp healed.

whereas if you use HB, HP can only be casted twice ( with GoLE up to minimize energy loss ) so .. HB = 50% more health healed and at lv 14, HP heals 72.

72 x 150% = 108.

casted twice = 108 x 2 = 216

216 per person in a normal party of 8 so 8 x 216 = 1728.

as you can see, LoD is a better party heal than HB + HP + GoLE but don't forget, HB affects other spells as well e.g. [patient spirit]. overall, they're both good. if i know i'd be going against something which does tonnes of AoE damage or party wide damage, i'd use LoD whereas for normal areas, i'd go with HB.

Works great in certain areas missions. If you are trying to go through the whole game with the same elite/bar then you will run into areas where you are going to have trouble.

Think of it this way...if your party NEEDS you to heal everyone simultaneously every 6 seconds, then your problems are more serious than your healing potential. Word of Healing is as uber as it is because it saves an errant party member from imminent death. Slap on a prot spirit + woh and he's good to go for ~5-8 seconds before he might need topping up in the form of a condition removal or a cure hex.

With LoD, well..you arent doing much of anything.
